Experiences

Overview

Over the course of my professional career, I have spent some time interning and volunteering for different businesses and organisations to further my experience of the visual and experience design spheres. This page showcases some of the work I have done for various businesses as assets, as well as what I have learnt from working with them.

Yes VR

Internship

YesVR is a small startup business dedicated to the growth of the education industry through creative mediums. YesVR aims to disrupt this industry by teaching new topics and workshops through virtual reality.

Through my time working with them, I developed a number of visual assets to establish their company's brand identity, as well as make them seem more professional to potential investors. This work included creating an official branding guideline and colour scheme, as well as redeveloping their website to match the new branding style.

Showcased below are some of the assets that I have worked on as a part of developing the brand guideline for YesVR. The logo developed for their business was the most refined, while other assets were used in the guidelines as samples of advertising material they could potentially use. Paired with these, I also developed a set of templates for the team to utilise once I had finished my contract with them, to ensure that they could continue to promote themselves as a professional, high-class business.

The Cumberland Gang Show

Volunteering

The Cumberland Gang Show is a performance group working in collaboration with Scouts and Guides Australia. Over the year, the gang showcases their work as a group at a chosen location for that year, typically in the area of Western Sydney. Their two hour show is succeeded by an awards ceremony highlighting the work done by the organising committee for that year's show, as well as the performers for their practice and dedication.

I volunteered for the organisation to create some advertising and promotional material for their 2019 show. Using their logo and creative assets, I was to design a slate of pull-up banners, A-frames, posters, DL cards, all culminating in a souvenir booklet which highlighted the performances, performers, volunteers and organisers.

Some of my work is showcased below, with posters, DL cards, and the souvenir booklet all seen. Each of the pieces were developed with close contact with the organising committee, ensuring that all of the logo and asset restrictions were adhered to, whilst still creating a piece of work which promoted the 50th anniversary of their creation.
